Before entering the MKB you have to pass a "Panzersperre" made in norwegian-style ! same system as a "Walzkörpersperre", but not THAT easy movable back to the top !

roadblocks - anti tank protection

the main entrance to the underground system ! defended by a 4,7cm PAK (t) !

a 35P8 connected to the underground system !

inside view of the 35P8

next "close" defence for heavy MG - also connected to the underground system !

emergency exit

S 446 - also connected to the underground system !

front view of the S 446 - all steelparts still there but covered under black tear-foil ! guiding the fire of 3 * 28cm !

the tripple-gun-turret in 1944 - ready for fire !

the gun-turret location - TODAY ! a sad view !

R 629 SK - connected to a small underground system and an oberservation cupolar

view of the oberservation cupolar - FANTASTIC !!

cupolar type 749P3

next to the R 629 there are two R 672 to park some antik tank guns !

R 629 from outside

second R 638, above the left corner you can see the R 632, right hand the entrance to one of the three ammunition storages !

60cm trains were used for the transport of the 28 cm ammunition - note also here an entrance defence !

Placed a little bit southwards of the mainsite, the heavy flak batterie - equipped with rangefinder, radar, and 6 open emplacements

three open emplacements for the heavy flak (6 * 8,8cm/10,5 ?) can be seen !

the "firecontrolpost" for the flak

within the flaksite - a R 622 with emplacement for a freya !

on the norther site - remaining parts of the Würzburg Riese

Next to the heavy flak - MKB Fjell was also defended by some light anti aircraft guns- in Fl 242...

two Fl 242 next to each other with massive rock-camouflage !

empty emplacement .... all in all you can see four Fl 242 at MKB Fjell

The Main-gun turret was scrapped in the 60ies..., but all what remained until today and what you have seen until now was surrounded by infantery sites: trenches, grenadelaunchers, MG pits etc etc ! have a look :

trences in rock/stones - with tobruks all over ! in the background you will see a R 621

MG pit

more trenches and tobruks !
